A Year of Memories, Laughter & Friendship at White River

Greetings!

With the 2026 season wrapping up in just a few short weeks, I wanted to take a minute to share some highlights with you.

In February, we played Bingo to get rid of some of the winter blues. Nothing like a gathering with friends to do that! Bingo is always so much fun. There always seems to be that “one” prize that everyone wants.

In March, we had a Euchre Tournament, and in April, we attempted our yearly campground clean-up day. However, that was greeted with lots of rain and flooding. Just an unfortunate yet expected thing that happens when you camp along the river. After waiting a couple of weeks, we had a nice turnout, and the campgrounds were cleaned and shined up like the flood never happened. Huge thanks to all who helped and continue to help every week to keep it looking clean and beautiful.

May and June also brought yet more rain. However, we did get in a Euchre game and a Cornhole Tournament.

Our July 4th Celebration was amazing! We had so many gracious donations from our members. Huge thanks to all who donated for the fireworks and to our brave firework “lighters.” Glad Erik still has his beard!

August brought the heat, but that was perfect because our Back to School Bash was full of water fun. We had a bounce house water slide combo, and the kids had a ball. Also, at our Back to School Bash, we were successful in collecting school supplies. Thank you to all who donated to that cause. Those supplies went to help a child less fortunate.

August was a busy month, as we also had our 3rd Annual Golf Outing. If you have never put together a team and you play golf, you should definitely put together a team next year.

Did I mention that we love Cornhole at White River Fishing and Game Club? September, well, you guessed it, we had another Cornhole Tournament. We have some real pros here at our club, and they take that stuff seriously. Just kidding, it's all in good fun!

Here it is October, and the fun is still going on. We have already had an Adult Halloween Party. There were costumes, food, and fellowship. One thing is for sure: you will NEVER leave one of our pitch-in events hungry. There is always so much good food.

Like I said in the beginning of the letter, our season is wrapping up, but let's not forget we still have Kids Halloween this coming weekend.

November 7th, bring your best soup. Everyone gets to vote for their favorite. Beat the defending champ, none other than Scott B., and you win the bragging rights for the year. Once we get our fill of all the yummy soups, we will play our final rounds of Bingo for the year.

December 12th, Santa will be here. Bring your littles and have some breakfast.

Huge thanks to all of our members who make this club so special.
